Melissa is the owner of Melissa Timperley Salons in Manchester's City Centre which has won numerous awards including Best Independent Salon (twice) and Best Client Experience (twice), as well as Best Salon Business and Best Salon Team. Melissa's goal in life has always been to create beautiful hair. Her talent is relentless and a true testament to her dedication in becoming a powerhouse in the hairdressing industry.
Melissa's career began at the age of 16 as an apprentice at Vidal Sassoon Manchester. She soon became known for her perfection and attention to the smallest of details, gaining Distinctions in both her Classic and Creative tests – a rare feat in what is recognised as the world’s most challenging cutting programmes. Melissa now has a string of accolades and awards, including two-time North West Hairdresser of the Year finalist, Wella Colour Expert and a Fellowship for British Hairdressing F.A.M.E Team Member.

As a qualified teacher and assessor, education is something Melissa is truly passionate about. Not only does she train each of her stylists in her MT Precision Principles, she's been invited to appear on stage demonstrations at Salon International for Unite and The Fellowship of British Hairdressing.

Sara is the Salon Manager at Melissa Timperley Salons and an expert when it comes to precision cutting. With over 10 years' experience at the highest level, she brings with her a fabulous professional reputation and hairdressing skills. Sara has worked closely with Melissa to develop the MT Precision Principles that are the foundation of the work in the salon.

When you have Sara as your educator you will soon see that she has an excellent sense of humour, coupled with a very creative yet practical approach to her craft. She was a finalist in the 2018 Wella Trend Vision Awards, having won the North West regional heats, and is a Wella Master Colour Expert.

Working shoulder to shoulder with some of the great colourists in our industry has enabled Sara to build a huge portfolio of colour knowledge - there is nothing Sara hasn't seen. She also has fabulous ideas too to help you see the possibilities of your clients hair.

Joe is an Executive Stylist at Melissa Timperley Salons and a hairdresser of seven years. Working closely with Melissa and Sara, Joe has developed his skill in precision styling to an expert level. His approach to every cut is unique to the individual in front of him, and he truly understands what it is to make the most out of his client's hair.
Joe plays a huge role in training any new stylist who joins the salon, providing help, advice and feedback, to truly help their talent shine.

Joe is a brilliant educator. His calm and collective approach helps you feel at ease. He always has a solution to any problem and is very good at explaining the why, so you feel confident you understand exactly what you're doing and the reason for it.
